Research: Racing Lights

i researched some motorsport starting lights which didnt really help when i was first looking at them but when i got around to animating my own starting lights having the videos as references helped speed up the process.

Zelda: The Lost Oracle Trailer

 A nice short animation which seems to have a mixture of 2d and 3d animation with use of specail effects from after effects. which made me think if i should do some of the animation for my project within after effects and drag it onto the final maya animation during editing

Neighbours

the creator of Neighbors Norman Mclaren has won many wards for this short film. each time i watch this video i get more amazed at how advanced it was for its time and how smooth the animation actually is. the animation outside being outside must of been a pain with wind changing direction and weather changes but i think the animation is great.

Duck Song

was looking to see if there were any animated music videos and this one appeard multiple times. it has decent animation even though i think it skips a couple of the frames during certain parts and the drawing style of the animation could be better but i think with the sharp edges it gives the animation personality and to top it all of its a catchy little tune.

wall animation

 i enjoyed this animation because of smooth it is for the scale and having to re paint it each time it the characters moved which must of taken ages to do unless they did some frames and did the rest when doing the editing.

Disney animation

This video shows some of the first computer animation that Disney did which interesting to see being made. it has changed alot from then to now they were using the mouse to draw images onto the screen but now you can use a graphics table to draw into the computer with better accuracy and with a nicer feel to the animation. Also within the video it shows some of the other animations that they have done i believe now it would be a lot easier to access the older animations.

Cyraik

when i first went to the presentation for Cyraik. i didn't really know who he was but after seeing some of his work i have seen some of it on Tv without really noticing it was animated. using Photoshop and after effects to create his work was a shock to me i thought it would be some kind of really expensive software he used. his animations are quiet strange but they are interesting to see whats going to happen next.

Gears of War 3 Character Art Dump at ZBrush Central | Epic Games Community

i found this link when i was looking for other models of cars. it shows the models of the characters from gears of war 3 which i enjoyed looking at after playing the game. seeing that the textures really made the textures made the model was a relief so i could make a really basic model and make it look awesome with textures.

Zenam Bi

Isolated like the emotions I have held for many years.

The cold weighs hard on my bones.

As the dark clouds begin to gather,

quiet surrounds the air.

The rural space echoes with stillness.

The picturesque image engraved in my mind.

Like a single tree embedded in a field,

The wavy grass hangs around to help ease the loneliness it feels.

The sheep wander aimlessly in this desolate sphere.

both of these videos have text and voice while the action is being preformed. i think having text and the action is a good idea and will try to replicate this in my own instructional video
