Fluffy

Fluffy the Cerberus from harry potter is currently one of the more known because of the harry potter franchise. Fluffy isn’t seen that much within the films but when he is seen you can see the personality differences between the heads. When fluffy wakes up later on in the film all three heads are aggressive at once so it their must be away all three heads are connected.

Link

Link is a well-known heroic character from The Legend Of Zelda Series. With link being in multiple games and keeping the same characteristics which maybe one of the reasons he is so well loved by the fans. He’s continuous adventuring to keep his kingdom Hyrule safe and rescuing the Princess Zelda from the evil Ganon.  All the games are similar in the way of the reasons above but theres always a lure that makes you want to buy the new game too see what kind of strange adventures Link has gotten himself into this time and how you can help him achieve his goals.

Anatomy

After researching a bit about my chosen animals I decided that it would be a good idea to have a look more into their bone structures and muscle placements. I was quiet surprised that sharks don’t have more bones in their body so they mostly be made up of cartilage. The owl bone structure was a bit surprising as well but later on when I got to see and feel an owl it became more understandable. Owls seem to be fully made up of feathers so having such a weird bone structure makes sense in a way. Having a dog most of my life I had a good idea of how a dogs bone structure would look like. I think looking into all these bone structures and other things I have gained some extra knowledge into finding out how to rig the models better and having rigged the models correctly id have a better chance of being able to animate them so they all look life like.

Lion’s mane/Roar

When I was researching the Cerberus I noticed that most of the pictures of a Cerberus have a mane like a lion. Needing to see how fur moves I thought that it would be a good idea to have a closer look at lion’s manes. They seem to flow with the body and be move around when the jaw is opened.

Cerberus animations

I want the same animations as the human for the dog so a walking cycle jump and an idle. For the idle I was thinking for the dog to stomp on the flower the human picks up to show how mean it is or doing a few different barking/attacking animations.

Human animations

For the human I want to have a walk cycle jump and an idle where they would either do a dance or picking up a flower. I mainly wanted the picking up the flower to show the caring nature of the human. The walk cycle I would want the character to puff out his chest a bit and move with a skip in its step so that it would show how happy and kind the person was. In the links below they show some examples of a walk cycle I’d like to do myself and a picking up a flower animation that is really good.

Eye Modelling

I’m going to have to model a lot of eyes and other features so when I came across this eye modelling tutorial I thought it would be something good to look at it. It shows how to create a 3d realistic eye that I will and replicate for my models to make them the best I can when I’m modelling.

UV mapping

Knowing that my UV mapping is weak I thought that looking into finding some tutorials would be a good idea to try and get my head around UV mapping. This tutorial is very helpful and has taught me a lot about UV mapping and how to do it quick but effectively.
