Puppy Cerberus/Young Cerberus- Cute to be Evil

From some research I have done about dogs and The Cerberus. I have decided that I will be making a puppy or a young Cerberus. I have come to this conclusion because not a lot is said about the younger versions so I have more room to be creative on this model. I have learned that most Cerberus have more of a mane than a dog so is lion like and have smooth fur on the rest of their body as well. Which means I might have to look into lions a bit to get more knowledge on how their fur moves.

Also choosing to pick a Puppy or Young version of the Cerberus might bring me to the difficulty of showing how mean/evil the creature is meant to be when most people see a puppy as being something that is cute. But I think that making it look evil and mean will be mostly in how it moves and how the heads react with each other. Example if I did an animation where the puppy is happily bouncing along and the heads are somewhat smiling a person looking at it would think it would be cute and playful but if I animated it so it moved with move more menacing and the heads drooped down or snarling/drool coming from its mouth it would look more evil and aggressive.

Also when thinking about how people will see my Cerberus.  It made me think about what people think about the other animals I’m doing. For example owls being intelligent. In the film sword in the stone the wizard Merlin has a pet owl that is intelligent and talks to Arthur though the owl is a bit mean and somewhat looks down on Arthur for not being as smart as him. Also with the Jaws films they make sharks out to be very aggressive and attack anyone when most sharks are very calm unless they are attacked or trying to feed.
