I was a bit unsure about going to this talk but I got persuaded
to by Adam. It didn’t start off very well with Rami being late but it later got
better and I enjoyed it at the end. He talked about all the other games the
company had created which all have a unique art style including their newest
game Nuclear Throne. Nuclear Throne is a rogue-like game where you can play as
multiple different characters trying to find the Throne. Rami demoed some of
the prototypes of the game which not knowing a lot about Vlambeer looked very
crazy. During the demos he talked about the music and how it is to work with
others outside of the company which was very interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCYdSANte7o
After Eurogamer I looked a bit more into Vlambeer and when I
was home. I found out more about and that they stream the development of their
game every couple of days. Different aspects of the games development get
streamed on the different days like one day will be music and the next would be
animation. Seeing the different parts getting slotted together is nice to see.
