Games republic is a business that promotes and helps support
the games industry within Yorkshire and the north of England. They organise
small and large meetings/events in the area which some large companies like
Sony and Microsoft have attended. Also they hold a student showcase where
final-year and postgraduate game students and opportunity to show their work to
regional game companies and a potential of getting a work placement with them.
Games republic would help me get into the industry easier
with all the events they have for networking and other things they do to help
up-coming developers by getting them easier in touch with bigger studios.
